WHY I want to make a group specifically for mature learners?
My mom knows how to speak Korean, English, Arabic. She always had a knack in learning new languages since she was young.
However 3 years ago, she started to learn a new language as a 55 years old learner.
BUT this time she was struggling learning the new language.
These were the reasons why she was struggling…
1. She could NOT memorize words like before
2. She had trouble using the different technologies required for her online classes
3. All the fonts were too small for her to read
But most importantly…
SHE DID NOT HAVE ANYONE COMFORTABLE TO PRACTICE THE LANGUAGE WITH.
Seeing my mom struggle learning this new language, made me think that my mom’s age group of people must be facing these same problems learning the Korean language.

I’m going to share with you a secret formula for speaking better Korean:

While teaching hundreds of people Korean, I see a lot of people who are great at understanding complex Korean grammar rules but when they are about to speak in Korean they can’t do it. The reason is because they are afraid and embarrassed of making mistakes in front of people.
And that’s why it is soooo important to be surrounded by people who you are comfortable with making mistakes with! Because…

That is the ultimate environment I want to create. I want to to create the #1 community for mature Korean learners where everyone feels comfortable to make mistakes and improve Korean together both online & offline. I really hope we can be long-time friends that get to even meet in real life!
